Julian Edelman’s New England Patriots pump-up video wasn’t enough for you? That’s OK. Tom Brady is here for backup.
With just hours to go before the Patriots’ 2015 regular-season opener, Brady on Thursday posted a video of his own on his highly active Facebook page. Like Edelman’s, the video features a collection of Pats highlights, but instead of employing Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech, Brady’s ends with a quote from the quarterback himself.
“I had an equipment manager in college, and he had been at Michigan for 25 years or so,” Brady says. “He’s got so many Big Ten rings, I mean he doesn’t have enough fingers for all of the rings he’s got. And he said, ‘You know what Tom? You know what my favorite ring is?’ And I said, ‘Which one is that?’ And he goes, ‘The next one.’ And that’s what I think. The next one.”
The Patriots will begin their quest for “the next one” Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium.
