BOSTON — Tommy Heinsohn likes to stick to what he knows.

Boston Celtics legends Heinsohn and Jo Jo White threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park on Wednesday ahead of the Red Sox’s game against the New York Yankees. White’s throw was high, but Heinsohn decided to channel his basketball days for his pitch.

Heinsohn and White both will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Sept. 11. Heinsohn was a six-time All-Star and eight-time NBA champion in his nine seasons with the C’s, while White won two championships with Boston and was an All-Star seven times in his 12-year career.
