Things got wild in Toronto during Game 5 of the American League Division Series between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays. Too wild, actually.

After one of the weirdest and most controversial calls you’ll ever see in a baseball game, Blue Jays fans angrily started throwing beer cans and bottles onto the field, among other trash and objects.

Unfortunately, some of those objects didn’t quite reach the field, including one beer can that struck a baby in the first row.

The FOX Sports 1 broadcast crew commented on how ridiculous things got, and Blue Jays players even came out of the dugout asking fans to stop throwing things onto the field.

Toronto rallied to score four runs in the bottom of the inning, with the big blow coming in the form of an epic three-run home run off the bat of outfielder Jose Bautista. The Blue Jays won the game, 6-3, and the series, three games to two, to advance to the AL Championship Series where they will face the Kansas City Royals.

UPDATE (10:00 p.m. ET): The Toronto Police tweeted that they do not believe the baby was actually hit, and that they have made an arrest and expect files to be charged against the suspect.
