Bill Belichick ‘Day To Day’ With Apparent Cold Ahead Of Patriots-Colts

FOXBORO, Mass. — Bill Belichick sounded a little stuffy Wednesday.

The New England Patriots head coach was asked during his press conference at Gillette Stadium whether he’d land on the team’s injury report leading up to Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. Belichick played his illness, like everything else, close to the vest.

“I don’t think we have to list the coaches,” Belichick deadpanned before pausing for a few moments. “Day to day.”

It’s hard to imagine Belichick will toss his feet up on the couch and take a breather this week with an important AFC showdown on tap. All we can ask is he drinks plenty of fluids, which his girlfriend probably will need to pick up at the store based on his response to another question about exacting revenge against the Colts, presumably for tipping off the NFL about Deflategate.

Keep Bill in your thoughts this week, guys.
