Canadiens Goalie Carey Price Knocks Down Chris Kreider Behind Net (Video)

Carey Price looked more like a linebacker than an NHL goaltender in Thursday night’s game against the New York Rangers.

The Montreal Canadiens netminder went behind his net to play a puck in the first period and Rangers forward Chris Kreider skated toward him. He stopped the puck for P.K. Subban, but instead of avoiding Kreider, he flattened him with a check.

Of course, these two have a history. Kreider injured Price in Game 1 of the 2014 Eastern Conference finals, knocking him out of the series. New York went on to win the series 4-2 to reach the Stanley Cup Final.

Price was asked about the hit after the game, and we’re not sure if he was telling the truth.

The Habs won 3-0, improving their record to 5-0-0 (best start in franchise history).
