Appeal or no appeal, Chase Utley isn’t in the lineup.

The Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman reportedly appealed a two-game suspension for his illegal slide that broke New York Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada’s leg in Game 2 of the National League Division Series. But the Dodgers will take the field Monday night for a pivotal Game 3 of their best-of-five series without Utley starting.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly discussed Utley’s absence prior to the game.

Wilmer Flores replaces Tejada in New York’s lineup.

Here are both teams’ starting lineups. First pitch is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
