The Blue Jays were three innings away from sending the American League Championship Series back to Toronto tied at one game apiece. But the Kansas City Royals had different plans.

The Royals exploded for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning en route to a 6-3 win.

David Price was nearly unhittable through the first six innings, but the Blue Jays ace fell apart in the seventh. Eric Hosmer got the run parade started with an RBI single. Kendrys Morales followed with an RBI groundout, and Mike Moustakas drove in the tying run on a single.

Kansas City was far from done, though. Alex Gordon gave the Royals their first lead of the game with an RBI double, and Alex Rios drove in another run with a single.
