Dustin Pedroia, David Ortiz Return For Red Sox’s 2015 Season Finale

CLEVELAND — The Boston Red Sox’s starting lineup for Game 162 features mostly regulars.

Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz, both of whom sat out Saturday night’s game, will return Sunday as the Red Sox close out their 2015 season against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.

Pedroia was a late scratch from the lineup Saturday because of wet conditions in Cleveland. The second baseman recently returned from a hamstring injury, so Red Sox interim manager Torey Lovullo didn’t want to take any chances.

Ortiz, who already has reached all of his contract incentives for this season, has been dealing with some general soreness of late.

Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr. recently have been flip-flopping between center field and right field. Betts will play in center and Bradley will play in right for Sunday’s finale.

Brock Holt, who was struck on the left knee by a pitch in Saturday’s loss, will not be in Boston’s starting lineup. Deven Marrero instead will earn the start at third base and bat eighth.
