The man shot in the AT&T Stadium parking lot after Sunday’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots has died, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

Richard Sells, 43, died Wednesday night after being taken off life support earlier in the day, according to a family member’s post on Facebook. Sells was shot about two hours after Sunday’s game.

The shooter, 28-year-old Marvin Rodriguez, allegedly shot Sells after an altercation. Rodriguez first held a gun to the head of a different man, but he let that man go. Eye witnesses said Rodriguez was “egged on” by others to kill Sells, per the Star-Telegram’s Clarence Hill.

Rodriguez is facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and his bail is set at $200,000.

Sells was recently engaged and his fiancée is pregnant; a GoFundMe page was set up to help the family.
