Greg Hardy Says He’s Ready To Come Out ‘Guns Blazing’ After Suspension

Greg Hardy spoke to the media at length Tuesday for the first time as a Dallas Cowboy, and we’re going to be honest: He said some pretty dumb things.

The defensive end will be back on the field Sunday against the New England Patriots after serving a four-game suspension — which was reduced from 10 games — that stemmed from a domestic violence incident Hardy was arrested for last year.

So how do you feel ahead of your first game of the season, Greg?

“I hope I come out guns blazing,” Hardy said, via ESPN.com. “I’m full of excitement and full of juice. I’m ready to go. I have what they call ‘fresh legs.’ I’m really excited to get out there on that grass or turf and see what they can do.”

A quick reminder: Hardy had to surrender a large bounty of assault-type rifles and shotguns to police after that 2014 incident, in which he allegedly threw his ex-girlfriend on a pile of those guns and threatened to kill her.

So maybe “guns blazing” wasn’t the best choice of phrasing.

Unfortunately, Hardy didn’t stop there, also taking a few digs at Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and ogling over Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

The 27-year-old’s on-field talent is undeniable — he tallied 15 sacks during his last full season in the NFL in 2013 — but it appears he hasn’t exactly matured since moving from Carolina to Dallas.
