This year’s playoffs already kicked into high gear with two entertaining wild card games. The Houston Astros defeated the New York Yankees in the AL Wild Card Game, and the Chicago Cubs downed the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL version of the one-game elimination clash.
Now it’s time to expand the series: first with the best-of-five Division Series and then with the best-of-seven Championship Series. From there, the World Series participants will be decided, and making predictions this season is incredibly difficult because each team has its strengths and weaknesses.
The St. Louis Cardinals posted the best record in baseball during the regular season, winning 100 games to edge the Pirates and Cubs in the NL Central. But are the Redbirds destined for the Fall Classic?
