LeBron JamesThe NBA season is set to begin, which only can mean one thing: It’s time to predict events that will happen eight months from now.

There are plenty of storylines entering the 2015-16 campaign, but as usual, the spotlight shines brightest on one player: LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers came oh-so-close to an NBA championship last season, meaning the 30-year-old returns more motivated than ever to bring a title to his home state.

But will LeBron’s efforts be enough to earn him a fifth Most Valuable Player award? He’ll have plenty of competition, as the likes of James Harden, reigning MVP Stephen Curry and a healthy Kevin Durant will be breathing down his neck.

The MVP race won’t be the only compelling awards battle this season, though. From rookie of the year to coach of the year to everything in between, we’re dishing out our bold predictions for the 2015-16 NBA awards.
