FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots might further shake up their offensive line this week.
Ryan Wendell, who has returned to practice as a full participant after missing time with an illness, was lining up at center with Tom Brady and the Patriots’ first team-offense Thursday. David Andrews, who hasn’t missed a single offensive snap this season, was playing on the second-team unit with Jimmy Garoppolo.
Wendell was joined by left tackle Nate Solder, left guard Shaq Mason, right guard Josh Kline and right tackle Sebastian Vollmer on the first-team offensive line. The Patriots have rotated Tre’ Jackson into the guard mix and Marcus Cannon at tackle this season. The Patriots could begin to rotate Wendell and Andrews at center.
Wendell was the Patriots’ starting center in 2012 and 2013. He moved to right guard last season after the Patriots drafted Bryan Stork. Stork currently is on the Patriots’ short-term injured reserve.
The Patriots had perfect practice attendance for the third consecutive session.
