Don Mattingly’s time with the Los Angeles Dodgers is reportedly over.

CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman reported Thursday morning that the Dodgers and their manager have parted ways. According to Heyman, “the decision is being described as mutual.”

Heyman reports that while there’s still support for Mattingly in the organization, especially high up in the organization, there are questions about the long-term support. Mattingly, according to Heyman, “felt he was treated very well,” but decided it was time for something (and someone) new.

The Dodgers hired the New York Yankees legend prior to the 2011 season. He went 446-363 over five seasons and led the Dodgers to three playoff appearances, but the Dodgers only reached the National League Championship Series once.
