Lamar Odom and Kim Kardashian are calling off their divorce, according to TMZ.
Kardashian’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, reportedly asked a judge Wednesday morning to withdraw the divorce papers the couple signed in July. The judge, who hadn’t signed the papers due to a file backlog, granted the request, meaning Odom and Kardashian still are legally married.
Odom, a two-time NBA champion, was found unconscious last week at a Nevada brothel. The 2011 NBA Sixth Man of the Year fought for his life in the hospital, prompting his estranged wife to rush to his side.
Odom and Kardashian’s relationship has been on the rocks for a while, but this whole ordeal seemingly has brought the former NBA forward and the popular reality TV star back together. They agreed a few days ago to give their marriage another chance, TMZ reported Wednesday.
“Khloe thinks this was the right thing to do right now,” a source told E! News.
Odom’s recovery could take months, though his status has improved. He awoke from his coma last Friday and, according to a statement released Tuesday by his family, has taken a few steps.
