It appears the “Curse of the Billy Goat” finally has met its match.

“The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert boldly took on the infamous curse during a segment Thursday night. In it, he went after goats for their cheese and their beards and even kicked one out of his studio. He also went after the curse with a chant of “GOAT, GOAT, GOAT.”

It didn’t work in Game 1 of the National League Division Series, as the Cubs lost 4-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals. But no one said ending a 70-year curse would be easy.
