dilferIt hasn’t been an easy year for Tom Brady.

On Sept. 29, 2014, the New England Patriots quarterback got thumped by the Kansas City Chiefs. Brady was benched in the fourth quarter of the 41-14 Week 4 loss after two interceptions and an all-around uninspiring performance.

That, of course, was just the beginning of what amounted to the most controversial year of Brady’s life. Pundits and experts everywhere said he and his team were done. The championship window officially was shut.

And then Deflategate happened, featuring plenty of absurd moments along the way.

But while people told Tom Brady how terrible he was, the future Hall of Famer put up incredible numbers. In the 17 games (including playoffs) that Brady has played start-to-finish (not including Week 17 versus Buffalo in 2014 where the Patriots didn’t try and Brady hardly played), Tom Terrific has completed nearly 68 percent of passes for 5,271 yards with 48 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions.

Dear everyone: Grab foot, open mouth, insert foot.
