The Kansas City Royals showed in Game 2 of their American League Division Series against the Houston Astros why they’re the defending AL champions.
The Royals overcame a three-run deficit Friday in a 5-4 win that evened the ALDS at one game apiece. Ben Zobrist gave Kansas City its first lead with an RBI single in the seventh inning.
The Astros missed out on a huge opportunity, as the playoff series now shifts to Houston for Games 3 and 4. Dallas Keuchel, an AL Cy Young candidate, will take the ball for Houston in Game 3 on Sunday. Kansas City will counter with Edinson Volquez.
