Anyone who’s ever watched a cartoon or played Mario Kart knows that tiny yellow objects are probably extremely slippery.

Those items are almost always bananas. Saturday, a referee officiating the Iron Bowl football game between Alabama and Auburn found out the hard way it doesn’t have to be.

Alabama quarterback Jake Coker took a late hit from Auburn saefty Rudy Ford. The official was racing into the play to throw a flag on Ford’s obvious late hit when he stepped on a flag already thrown and immediately slipped backward. He managed to throw his flag on the way down in impressive fashion.

The official fortunately did not suffer any serious injuries and remained in the game, which means we’re allowed to chuckle at how hilarious the whole sequence of events was.

Alabama won the game 29-13.
