It didn’t take long for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings game to get physical Thursday night.

Midway through the first period, things got especially chippy when Kings defenseman Alec Martinez ran Blue Jackets forward Scott Hartnell into the glass stanchion at the end of the benches.

Eventually that gave way to a mid-ice bout between Columbus’ Nick Foligno and L.A.’s Kyle Clifford. The scrap ended up being a poor idea for Clifford, as Foligno gave Clifford his best Floyd Mayweather impersonation.

The Blue Jackets went on to win 3-2.
