ESPN Mistakens Michigan State For Michigan In College Football Playoff Rankings (Photo)

Michigan isn’t having a good season when it comes to besting in-state rival Michigan State.

The Wolverines lost to the Spartans in dramatic fashion Oct. 17 when a botched punt was returned for a touchdown on the final play of the game. Michigan also is behind Michigan State in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, and ESPN can’t even get the Wolverines’ logo right, mistakenly using a Spartan head on its website.

Ouch.

The mistake since has been fixed, but it isn’t all bad for Michigan. These rankings often change quite a bit in only one week, and a win over rival Ohio State in the regular-season finale likely would vault the Wolverines up a few spots.
