FanDuel Week 10 Fantasy Football Lineup: Tom Brady Among Best Picks
Week 10 of the NFL season often is the point when a lot of fantasy football owners are no longer in the running for a playoff spot in their league.
They can still win money by playing on daily fantasy sites such as FanDuel, though, so take a look at our Week 10 lineup.
Quarterback: Tom Brady, New England Patriots ($9,100)
Brady is the leading NFL Most Valuable Player candidate and ranks third in passing yards, fifth in completion percentage and first in touchdown passes, all while throwing just two interceptions. He’s playing a New York Giants defense in Week 10 that allows the second-most passing yards per game and has a weak pass rush with a league-low nine sacks.
Running Backs: Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($6,900); DeAngelo Williams, Pittsburgh Steelers ($7,600)
Martin has three 100-yard games in the last five weeks and he’s got a pretty good matchup in Week 10 against a Dallas Cowboys defense that gave up 167 yards on the ground to the Philadelphia Eagles last week.
Williams ran for a season-high 170 yards and two touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders last week, and his chances of replicating that performance in Week 10 are pretty high because he’s playing a Cleveland Browns defense that ranks dead last in rush yards allowed per game.
Wide Receivers: Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants ($8,800); Dorial Green-Beckham, Tennessee Titans ($5,200); Brandin Cooks, New Orleans ($7,200)
Beckham Jr. is one of the safest wideout picks on FanDuel. He has 17 receptions on 26 targets for 235 yards and three touchdowns over the last two weeks. Giants quarterback Eli Manning has made OBJ the fifth-most targeted receiver in the league.
Green-Beckham, in his first game with a new head coach, set season-highs in receptions, targets and receiving yards in Week 9. He has a tough matchup against a very good Carolina Panthers defense, but he’s becoming a larger part of the Titans offense and isn’t easy to defend at 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds.
Cooks has tallied 70 or more yards in four of the last five games and he also scored four touchdowns in that span. He’s starting to become a more consistent fantasy performer after a slow start to the season, and almost any receiver catching passes from a prolific quarterback like Drew Brees is worth the risk in daily fantasy.
Tight End: Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings ($4,900)
Rudolph hasn’t been great this season — two receptions and less than 50 receiving yards in six of eight games — but he’s playing a Raiders defense in Week 10 that’s given up a league-high nine touchdowns to opposing tight ends.
Kicker: Brandon McManus, Denver Broncos ($4,800)
McManus is a good value pick as the third-highest scoring kicker per week on FanDuel but the seventh-most expensive at $4,800.
Defense: Philadelphia Eagles ($4,700)
The Eagles rank fourth on FanDuel with 10.5 fantasy points scored per week, and they’re facing a Miami Dolphins offense that’s committed 12 turnovers on the season and scored only three touchdowns in the last two weeks.
