Michael Wright, a former forward for the University of Arizona, died Tuesday night at age 35.

Wright was found dead in his SUV in Brooklyn under a pile of trash bags, officials told the New York Daily News. The former New York Knicks draft pick reportedly was discovered with a head wound.

An autopsy was scheduled to determine how he died, but a police source told the New York Daily News that Wright was bipolar and might have taken his own life. A family member confirmed Wright’s death to the Chicago Sun-Times’ Michael O’Brien before the Daily News report and said it “wasn’t foul play.”

Wright played three seasons for Arizona from 1998 to 2001. He was drafted 39th overall by the Knicks in 2001 but ended up pursuing a basketball career overseas in Poland, Turkey and France.
