The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, and it represents the last chance for all 32 teams to make a major move in hopes of competing in Super Bowl 50 in February.

The action began Monday with the San Francisco 49ers sending veteran tight end Vernon Davis to the Denver Broncos in exchange for draft picks.

There are several quality players who have had their names tossed into the rumor mill in the last week. ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned a few of them Saturday via Twitter.

Keep it right here all day for the latest news, rumors and completed deals on deadline day.

4:16 p.m.: It looks as though the reason the Denver-Cleveland trade fell through was a very nitpicky one.

4:07 p.m.: Sources told ESPN the Thomas deal didn’t happen, so the trade deadline came and went very quietly.

4:01 p.m.: The trade deadline officially has passed, and it’s unclear if there was any action. The Broncos were looking to acquire left tackle Joe Thomas from the Browns for draft picks at the last minute, but it seems as though they didn’t make it in time.

3:02 p.m.: It looks as though the Patriots won’t be getting the full set of McCourtys after all.

2:58 p.m.: The Browns looked to be active on the market, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

2:50 p.m.: The Patriots reportedly are interested in Jason McCourty, but there’s still no deal imminent.

1:35 p.m.: The Cleveland Browns seem eager to make moves.

1:20 p.m.: Only a foolish general manager would trade for Colin Kaepernick.

1:10 p.m.: The Tennessee Titans already fired their coach on Tuesday. Why not make some roster moves to shake things up?

12:40 p.m.: No surprise the New England Patriots are looking for cornerbacks.

12:30 p.m.: The San Diego Chargers have plenty of running back depth, and it looks like that will remain intact.

12:01 p.m.: The Eagles still have a chance to win the NFC East division, but it doesn’t sound like they will add to their roster.

11:10 a.m.: Far from a surprise.

11:00 a.m.: More evidence proving the Cleveland Browns don’t know what they’re doing.

9:45 p.m.: According to Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland, Denver wanted left tackle Joe Thomas a few weeks ago, so much so that “the Broncos were willing to part with their first-round pick in 2016, but the Browns also asked for second-year linebacker Shaq Barrett, and that apparently killed the deal.”

The Broncos announced Monday that left tackle Ty Sambrailo will miss the rest of the season. Sambrailo had missed the previous five weeks with a shoulder injury.

8:25 a.m.: Alex Mack doesn’t seem interested in leaving Cleveland, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

8:20 a.m. ET: New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said in a recent WEEI radio appearance that he’s open to making a trade if the right one presents itself. New England has been active at the deadline over the last few seasons, most notably when it acquired elite cornerback Aqib Talib from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012.
