One New England Patriots fan really paid attention in high school.
Or maybe he paid attention to Bill Belichick’s scientific breakdown in the wake of Deflategate.
Then again, he could just be a total Patriots homer and actually have no idea what the heck he’s talking about when it comes to the ideal gas law.
Whatever the case, the jersey this guy rocked to Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins at Gillette Stadium kicked gluteus maximus. It pokes fun at Deflategate by referencing the ideal gas equation, which many believe proves the temperature — not some dude nicknamed The Deflator” — is to blame for the Patriots’ under-inflated footballs in last season’s AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts.
For all of the non-science gurus of the world (me being one), consider the following:
P = pressure
V = volume
n = amount (measured in moles)
R = ideal gas constant
T = temperature of the gas
Don’t worry. There won’t be a quiz.
Unfortunately, the complex formula doesn’t include a “W” for wins. The defending Super Bowl champions now have eight of those this season after defeating the ‘Skins on Sunday to stay undefeated.
