FOXBORO, Mass. — The illness that forced Jamie Collins to sit out last week against the Washington Redskins kept him out of New England Patriots practice Wednesday.

The Patriots linebacker was one of four players not spotted at Wednesday’s walk-through in the Empower Field House. Offensive tackles Sebastian Vollmer and Marcus Cannon and guard Tre’ Jackson also weren’t seen at the start of the practice session.

Safety Duron Harmon, who suffered a knee injury Sunday, and linebacker Dont’a Hightower, who admitted to feeling the effects of a virus during the game, were at practice. Defensive end Jabaal Sheard was back at practice for the first time since injuring his ankle in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts.
