It was Peyton Manning’s day, but it really wasn’t Peyton Manning’s day.

The Denver Broncos quarterback set the NFL record for most career passing yards in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. But after completing just 5 of 20 passes, taking two sacks and throwing four interceptions, Manning was benched for backup Brock Osweiler.

Osweiler completed more passes (6) in the third quarter than Manning did in the first half, but he threw an interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter. Denver lost 29-13, as Osweiler finished 14-of-24 passing for 146 yards and one touchdown with the one interception.
