Pickle Thrown Onto Court Delays Bucks-Nets Game At Barclays Center (Video)

A lot of people made a fuss Monday night when someone threw a pickle onto the court during an NBA game. We don’t see why — it wasn’t a big dill.

Regardless, play between the visiting Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center had to be stopped in the fourth quarter, with referee Gary Zielinski bravely picking up the offending cuke without any gloves or protective equipment. He must really trust the disinfecting power of brine.

That’s definitely not kosher.

Once everyone quit gherkin around, the Nets and Bucks got back to playing. Guard Jerryd Bayless, whose bread and butter is long-range shooting, scored 26 points as Milwaukee polished off the 103-96 win.

Obviously, the pun possibilities are endless, but we’ll have to defer to NBA analyst Brent Barry, who absolutely nailed it on “NBA Gametime.”

“Too bad the game wasn’t closer,” Barry quipped, “otherwise this could’ve been an instant Vlasic.”

Well done, Brent. Well done.
