Fenway Park will be frozen once again this winter, just not in the way we’ve seen it in past years.
There won’t be any hockey at the home of the Boston Red Sox, but there will be some big air. More specifically, the Polartec Big Air ski and snowboard competition will make its way to baseball’s most beloved ballpark. The officially sanctioned U.S. Grand Prix Tour event will happen Feb. 11-12.
Some of the world’s top skiers and snowboarders will invade Yawkey Way, where the 140-foot snow ramp — nearly four times the height of the Green Monster — will be waiting in the middle of what’s usually a baseball diamond.
Tickets go on sale Thursday at noon.
