The Baltimore Ravens (kind of) found a solution to their lack of quarterback depth.

The club announced Tuesday that it claimed former Chicago Bears backup Jimmy Clausen off waivers, sending Joe Flacco to season-ending injured reserve with a torn ACL/MCL, which he suffered Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. Clausen will be reunited with former Bears coach Marc Trestman, who’s currently the Ravens’ offensive coordinator.

The loss of Flacco put a damper on Baltimore’s already injury-ravaged season. The Ravens will have to turn to Matt Schaub for their “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Cleveland Browns, and Clausen will serve as a backup once again.

Clausen filled in for injured Bears starter Jay Cutler in Weeks 2 and 3 this season, losing both games. In those two games, Clausen completed just 57.5 percent of his passes, throwing for 184 yards, one interception and no touchdowns.
