Pot Roast won’t be on the menu in New England on Sunday.
Washington Redskins defensive tackle Terrance Knighton has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots due to a migraine, the team announced Saturday.
Knighton wasn’t on the team’s injury report throughout the week, so his absence comes as a bit of a surprise. The 29-year-old didn’t travel with the team to New England.
Knighton has played in seven games for Washington this season after becoming a staple on the Denver Broncos’ defensive line during their 2013 and 2014 campaigns. His presence will be missed on a team that’s already struggled to defend the run this season, allowing 128.4 rushing yards per game on 4.9 yards per attempt, tied for second-worst in the NFL.
