J.R. Smith reportedly has been linked to the choking of a high school student outside of a New York restaurant on Nov. 13.

The Cleveland Cavaliers guard allegedly choked Justin Brown, a 19-year-old Harlem native, around 4 a.m. that morning outside of Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, sources told the New York Daily News.

Brown reportedly taunted Smith about him being traded from the New York Knicks to the Cavaliers, and a cellphone video shows Smith walking away after the initial comments.

“That’s why New York kicked you out, yo!” Brown allegedly said.

That’s when Brown alleges that Smith pushed him up against a building and choked him. A police report reportedly was filed three days after the alleged incident, but a source told the Daily News that the original report was “lost.”

Smith’s attorney, Alex Spiro, told the Daily News that “the allegation is completely false.”
