UPDATE (Nov. 28, 11:54 a.m. ET)Danny Amendola isn’t expected to travel with the Patriots on Saturday as they leave for Denver, CSNNE.com’s Mike Giardi reported Saturday morning.

UPDATE (9:43 p.m. ET): Sources tell the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe that Danny Amendola hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday night’s game yet, and the receiver will test out his knee before the Patriots travel to Denver on Saturday.

ORIGINAL STORYIf the New England Patriots beat the Denver Broncos on Sunday, it reportedly will be without their slot receiver.

Danny Amendola won’t play in Week 12 and isn’t traveling with the Patriots to Denver, WBZ’s Steve Burton reported Friday. Amendola hurt his knee Monday night against the Buffalo Bills and was limited in practice Thursday and Friday after not participating Wednesday.

The Patriots are left with just three available wide receivers against the Broncos — Brandon LaFell, Keshawn Martin and Chris Harper. Martin has missed the last five games with a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable to play. Harper is an undrafted rookie who has yet to record an NFL catch.

Starting receiver Julian Edelman likely is out until the playoffs with a broken foot. Wideouts Aaron Dobson, Brian Tyms, Josh Boyce and Brandon Gibson are on the Patriots’ injured reserve list.

Amendola had nine receptions for 117 yards last week in an increased role with Edelman out. He has 49 receptions for 520 yards with two touchdowns in 10 games this season.
