Report: Greg Hardy Arrived Late For Practice, Missed Meetings Last Week

The Greg Hardy circus might have taken a backseat to the Dez Bryant circus this week in Dallas, but the defensive end still found controversy.

FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo reported Sunday there were even more issues with Hardy in the week of preparation leading up to the Cowboys’ eventual loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to the report, Hardy showed up late to work Thursday. Additionally, Hardy also missed “nearly all of the morning’s meetings,” per the FOX Sports report.

It’s unclear if Hardy was disciplined for his latest transgression. If he was, it wasn’t reflected in playing time as he played all of the Cowboys’ loss Sunday against the Bucs.

Even if Hardy’s tardiness was reported earlier in the week, it might have been overshadowed by Bryant, who was in the news after going off on reporters Thursday in the Cowboys’ locker room.

Hardy’s been a handful since returning from a four-game suspension to start the season. Since he’s been activated, he’s been in the news for controversial comments regarding Tom Brady and his wife, reportedly skipped a practice, been involved in a sideline altercation with teammates and coaches, was at the center of a damning report and, most recently, annoyed people by changing his Twitter bio to say “innocent until proven guilty.”

The Cowboys have lost seven consecutive games, including all five since Hardy returned, and are now 2-7.
