If Lionel Messi makes a stunning transfer to the Premier League, it will come with an enormous price tag.
The Barcelona forward, who’s regarded by many as the best soccer player in the world, would want £600,000 per week in wages as a Premier League player, according to The Daily Star.
The English paper also notes that Arsenal is Messi’s “preferred option.”
The last star player Arsenal bought from Barcelona was forward Alexis Sanchez in 2014, and the Chilean has been a huge success in England.
Barcelona is the only club Messi has ever played for, and he’s won just about every team and individual award possible during his time in Spain. That includes four Ballon D’Or awards, which annually recognizes the best player in club soccer.
