The marriage between Rex Ryan and the New York Jets has been over for almost a year now, but it’s clear the two sides haven’t forgotten about each other.
Ryan’s Buffalo Bills will invade the Meadowlands on Thursday night to take on the Jets in the head coach’s first return to the place he held his first head coaching job. The always boisterous Ryan hasn’t hid from the homecoming and is up to his usual tricks. He wore a Clemson helmet to a news conference earlier in the week, and he’ll use IK Enemkpali — the guy who broke Geno Smith’s jaw — as a captain Thursday night.
But maybe no one is more excited about Ryan’s return to the swamp than the New York tabloids. Both the New York Post and New York Daily News had a field day with Thursday’s editions.
