Ronda Rousey Supports Bernie Sanders, Not Hillary Clinton, For President

Ronda Rousey has already named one person she won’t be supporting for president — sorry, Donald Trump.

So now that we have that out of the way, how about someone she could see herself backing in their bid for the White House?

“I’m voting for Bernie Sanders, because he doesn’t take any corporate money,” Rousey recently told “Maxim.” “I don’t think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests.”

While Rousey is “feeling the Bern,” Sanders is trailing Hillary Clinton in the polls for the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, which means Rousey might not get to vote for her favorite in the general election. If that happens, don’t expect her to vote for Hillary Clinton, though.

“If he doesn’t win against Hillary, then I’ll probably vote for a third party again,” she said. “To be honest, in 2012 I was against both candidates and so I just picked any third party because I thought if more people voted for third parties then they’d have to take third parties seriously.”

And there’s probably a good chance that you have heard of the candidate she voted for in 2012.

“I voted for Roseanne (Barr) last time,” Rousey said. “Mostly I went in to vote for all the state and local things. I was so unimpressed with the whole presidential campaign that I picked whatever third party I saw, and I saw Roseanne and thought, ‘That’s awesome.’

“But I’m really pulling for Sanders this time. I hope it works out.”

Before Rousey thinks about casting a vote, though, she has a pretty big fight against Holly Holm this Saturday at UFC 193.
