BOSTON — Tyler Randell already has shown during his young NHL career that he can throw fists with the best of them.

The rookie Bruins winger dropped the gloves Thursday for the second time this season and proceeded to take down Colorado Avalanche forward Cody McLeod, who’d just laid a hit on defenseman Dennis Seidenberg.

Seidenberg was playing in his first game this season after recovering from back surgery, and Randell took exception to McLeod’s hit. Randell’s actions also earned him a two-minute unsportsmanlike conduct minor, which the Bruins successfully killed off.
