The Philadelphia 76ers have suspended rookie center Jahlil Okafor two games following his involvement in a fight last Wednesday outside of a Boston nightclub, according to a team release.

News of the altercation surfaced on Thanksgiving, when TMZ Sports released a video showing Okafor involved in a fight hours after the 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The No. 3 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft was allowed to play in Philadelphia’s next three games, but that all changed Wednesday on the same day a second fight video was released.

“Jahlil is a very important part of our organization and our future,” the 76ers said in the statement. “While we are disappointed with his recent actions, we have faith in him as a valued member of the Sixers. We will provide the necessary resources to support him on his journey and will do our part to help him succeed both on and off the court.”
