Tensions were high early in Saturday’s Big 12 regular-season finale between No. 12 Baylor and unranked Texas.

Baylor quarterback Lynx Hawthorne threw a first-quarter interception and made the subsequent tackle, but he threw the Texas defensive back down to the turf after the referees blew the play dead. Some players on the Texas sideline weren’t happy about it and knocked Hawthorne down, which prompted the Baylor players to leave their sideline and join the madness.

Fortunately, it didn’t take long for coaches and referees to calm down the players. An unsportsmanlike conduct call on Texas was the only penalty resulting from the scuffle, and no players were ejected.

Texas survived a Baylor comeback to hold on for a 23-17 win.
