Berkshire Bank Faceoff: Projected Lines, Pairings For Bruins-Canucks

The Boston Bruins will look to salvage the finale of their three-game Western Conference road trip Saturday as they visit the Vancouver Canucks.

The Bruins, who fell to the Calgary Flames in overtime Friday night, opted not to hold a mandatory skate Saturday morning, and head coach Claude Julien did not rule out making a few tweaks to his lineup.

“(There) could be,” Julien told reporters, via BostonBruins.com. “I’m making some decisions there (Saturday), and that’s why there are a lot of players out there today, and we’ll see what we decide to go with. Some players needed, wanted, to skate — some players that didn’t play or didn’t have much ice time (Friday).

“So, we’re going to make some roster decisions there (Saturday night).”

Goaltender Tuukka Rask, who came on in relief of Jonas Gustavsson in Friday’s 5-4 loss, is expected to start between the pipes against Vancouver.

UPDATE (10 p.m. ET): In a surprising move, Julien sat down Jimmy Hayes — the first healthy scratch of the winger’s young Bruins career. The Bruins also swapped out their entire second defensive pairing, with Joe Morrow and Kevan Miller replacing Dennis Seidenberg and Colin Miller.
