Celtics Vs. Kings Odds: Boston Hoping For Road Win In Mexico City
The Boston Celtics will continue their five-game road swing Thursday night with a date in Mexico City against the Sacramento Kings, where they will look to post their first straight-up road win over the Kings in their last five attempts.
The Celtics tallied a strong 105-95 win over the Heat in Miami on Monday, picking up the against-the-spread victory as four-point betting underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Boston now takes a respectable 10-8 SU record into Thursday night’s Celtics vs. Kings matchup at Mexico City Arena, with its NBA championship odds now sitting at 66-1 after opening the season at a distant 100-1.
The Kings also were in action Monday night, wrapping up a stretch of four games in six nights with a 112-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
The victory ended a brief two-game losing streak for Sacramento, which has struggled with inconsistency this season, recording consecutive SU wins just once en route to its current 7-12 record.
Despite going 2-5 SU in their last seven games, including six road contests, the Kings have shown signs of improvement.
After opening the season with just one win in its first eight games, Sacramento has turned things around, going 6-5 SU, according to the OddsShark NBA Database.
Following their clash with the Kings, the Celtics move on to San Antonio to face the Spurs on Friday night, before wrapping up their road swing in New Orleans on Sunday against the Pelicans.
It has been a disappointing campaign for New Orleans, which has struggled to a 4-13 record after opening the season as a 40-1 darkhorse on the NBA futures.
The Pelicans enter December at a distant 200-1 on the odds to win the NBA championship and as a 100-1 longshot to win the Southwest Division, well back of the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio also sits near the top of the NBA championship odds, trailing only the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers at 11-2. The Warriors, leading the way at 3-2 odds to win the title, have solidified their position atop the odds with 19 straight wins to begin the season. They closely are followed by the Cavs at 13-5.
While the Celtics trail the front of the pack in NBA championship betting, they remain in the hunt to win the Atlantic Division with 7-4 odds, trailing only the favored Toronto Raptors.
