LOS ANGELES — If you watched any of Friday’s NBA Christmas Day action, you might’ve stumbled upon State Farm’s new ad campaign titled, “Meet the Hoopers.”
The strange commercials feature NBA stars playing as an accident-prone family that’s aided by their “good neighbor,” a State Farm employee, when things go awry.

No, that wasn’t the eggnog discombobulating your cognitive senses. That is in fact Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan wearing a blonde wig and a dress and starring as the mother of the family.
“That’ll make you stay up at night,” Jordan’s coach, Doc Rivers, said before his team’s Christmas Day showdown against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jordan was a little more forgiving of his own performance.
“I make a good blonde, don’t I?” Jordan said. “I might be up for an Oscar for best supporting actor … short film.”
Starring along with Jordan were Chris Paul as the father of the family, Kevin Love as the teenage boy, Damian Lillard’s head as the baby and Kevin Garnett as the grandfather.
“I thought Kevin Garnett was fantastic,” Rivers said. “He was playing himself … grandpa.”
