IT'S OFFICIAL: People's Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN. Ok that's four things but you know what the hell The Rock's sayin'.. 😂. THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It's always an honor coming home and I wouldn't miss it for the world. #PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses 👊🏾💯
WWE is attempting to set an attendance record in “Jerry World,” the 80,000-seat stadium that serves as home of the Dallas Cowboys.
It would mark the fifth consecutive WrestleMania appearance for The Rock, who has wrestled in 10 different WrestleManias, including five main events. In 2015, Johnson, a 10-time WWE world heavyweight champion, made an appearance at WrestleMania 31 alongside UFC superstar Ronda Rousey, to much acclaim.
In May, Johnson told Sports Illustrated that he, Triple H and Vince McMahon “talked about creating something that is amazing” for WrestleMania 32, so this announcement comes as no surprise.
We can smell what The Rock is cooking, and we can’t wait to find out what it is when it’s done.
