The New England Patriots were victorious Sunday in their final regular-season game of 2015. They will not take field again at their home stadium until postseason play begins next month.

In the meantime, that field will be replaced by a sheet of ice, and the process of outfitting the venue for the 2016 Winter Classic already has begun.

The Boston Bruins will host the Montreal Canadiens on New Year’s Day in Foxboro, and just minutes after the Patriots’ 33-16 win over the Tennessee Titans, stadium staff got started on the transformation.

The Patriots will close out their regular season with visits to the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, while the Bruins, who hosted the New Jersey Devils on Sunday at TD Garden, will play three more home games and another on the road before taking on the Canadiens at Gillette.
