Isaiah Thomas, Brian Scalabrine Have Awesome Mid-Game Exchange In Celtics’ Win

Isaiah Thomas killed the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, and he wasn’t shy in admitting it.

The Boston Celtics point guard was lights out at Smoothie King Center, pouring in a game-high 22 points on 9 of 13 shooting to lead his club to a 111-93 win. One of those nine makes prompted CSN New England color commentator and former Celtic Brian Scalabrine to gush about Thomas’ excellent play.

Coincidentally, Thomas was jogging right past the scorers’ table where Scalabrine and broadcast partner Mike Gorman reside when Scal dropped his compliment.

That led to a pretty awesome exchange between player and broadcaster.

Perhaps Thomas was channeling his inner Larry Bird, who celebrated his 59th birthday Monday and had a penchant for vocalizing his confidence while on the floor.
