There once was a day — many days, in fact — when Kobe Bryant slam-dunking a basketball would not be news. These are no longer those days.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is in the midst of his farewell tour after announcing his impending retirement earlier this season, and his on-court play has been iffy at best. On Thursday night, though, he reminded us all that he’s still got a little something left.

Bryant had a fairly efficient night Thursday, playing 32 minutes and scoring 22 points on 9-for-16 shooting, while also pulling down eight rebounds. He also stepped into the way-back machine by elevating for a poster-worthy dunk on Houston Rockets big man Clint Capela.

It wasn’t nearly enough, though. The Rockets cruised to the 107-87 win, and the Lakers are now 4-22 on the season.
