Ray Bourque Tells Canadiens’ P.K. Subban He’s ‘Ready To Throw Down’

A Boston Bruins legend and the Montreal Canadiens’ best player are about to give away a pretty awesome Christmas present.

Ray Bourque quoted a P.K. Subban tweet on Wednesday, telling the Montreal defenseman that he was “ready to throw down.”

Bourque, of course, is an adored former Bruin whose number hangs from the TD Garden rafters. Subban is a member of Boston’s hated rivals north of the border, so seeing the two fight in real life might be a dream come true for fans.

Of course, that fight won’t be under your tree this year. The tweet was in reference to their charity raffle, in which the two are offering tickets to the Bruins-Habs Winter Classic matchup on New Year’s Day at Gillette Stadium as the grand prize — among other goodies in the package.

The raffle is called “Rivals Unite” and supports both the Celebrities for Charity Foundation and the P.K. Subban Foundation.
