It was quite a year for Major League Baseball.

The 2015 season was full of pleasant surprises, with plenty of rookies breaking out and a handful of teams escaping the cellar to make the playoffs. In fact, the 2015 playoffs took us back in time, as the four pennant hopefuls — the Kansas City Royals, New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago Cubs — all boasted some of the longest World Series droughts in baseball.
