Holy flying mammal, Batman!

Spurs mascot The Coyote was the hero fans at AT&T Center needed on Monday night, when a stray bat flew into the arena and was zooming around the court before San Antonio’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Spurs officials lit up the bat signal, though, and Coyote raced into his cave and changed into a Batman costume before returning and providing some entertainment on the court.

It’s not the first time something like this has happened. In 2009, Spurs guard Manu Ginobli swatted a bat out of mid-air during a game against the Sacramento Kings.

The Coyote started occasionally wearing a Batman costume after that incident.

The Spurs won Monday’s contest against the Timberwolves 101-95.
